Fashion Week

Fashion weeks present an opportunity for designers to present their new creation that will be available in stores half a year later. The most well-known fashion weeks are in Milan, New York, London and Paris, and occur in spring/ summer or autumn/ winter. The designers show haute couture (luxury designs) and prêt-à-porter (everyday clothing). The models need to be a maximum 19 years old (although sometimes accepted until 25 years), at least 174 cm tall, a clothing size of at maximum 36 and must have the measurements of 86-64-94. Through fashion weeks, the models can get into contact with well-known designers, and gain popularity in the model business.
