#Our Heart's Project – OneDollarGlasses

What does happiness mean if you can't share it? We believe that social commitment is particularly important and that doing something good for other people makes us happy. For this reason, the OneDollarGlasses project has been particularly close to our hearts for years.

#A single pair of glasses can make a big difference

For us at the-models, it is obvious that if we have a visual impairment, we go to the eye doctor or optician and get glasses or contact lenses. But not all people have this option. According to a WHO study, over 950 million people worldwide need glasses, but don't have the money for them. Children can't learn properly and adults can't work and provide for their families. This is where EinDollarBrille e. V. comes in and offers a simple solution: locally produced glasses enable people with impaired vision to lead a normal life. One pair of glasses costs only about 1 US dollar, hence the name of the project.

#One US dollar for a better life

Thanks to OneDollarGlasses, new jobs have also been created. Locally, people are trained in the production and fitting of the glasses as well as to become opticians. This gives them a chance for a permanent job and a secure income.

More than 300 volunteers in Germany, Switzerland and the USA are committed to the social project and help numerous people worldwide. All this motivates the-models to support the project in the best possible way and to make the world a little better together.
