Experience/ References

Since 1990, I have been a radio journalist and presenter. Although I started in radio, from 1994 to 2025 I also appeared on television. I have presented for RSH, Inforadio Berlin, RTL, NDR, and ARD-aktuell. Over the past 27 years, I have primarily presented *Tagesschau*, *tagesschau24*, and *Schleswig-Holstein Magazin*, one of Germany’s most successful regional programs. My speaking voice has a wide range—I can deliver a serious news piece, record a commercial, or imitate cartoon characters or celebrities. One of my greatest strengths is speaking freely. Even without a script, I can deliver an engaging, captivating lecture on a topic. On television, I have often moderated multi-hour special broadcasts without a prepared text, which means I can host stage programs and keep audiences entertained over longer stretches. In 2025, I ran for mayor of Kiel, the state capital of Schleswig-Holstein (population approx. 250,000), with support from the CDU, FDP, and SSW parties. I led in the first round of voting but narrowly lost to the Green Party candidate in the runoff. Now I want to take my career to the next level. I hope you find my application appealing.
